Buffy The Vampire Slayer (Season 6) DVD Review

The brainchild of writer Joss Whedon, Buffy The Vampire Slayer originally entered American pop culture as a full-length feature film, starring Kristy Swanson, in 1992. But creator Whedon felt that the project never quite did justice to the full scope of his vision, so he managed turn the film into a television series in 1997. The result of Whedon's increased artistic freedom is a series that has enjoyed both critical acclaim and audience notoriety. Nominated for 14 Emmy's during its seven year run, the show managed to win only two (both in 1998 for Outstanding Makeup and Outstanding Music Composition in a television series). Yet, the true success for Buffy The Vampire Slayer is indicated by the massive success of the show's long run, strong DVD sales, and the overwhelming success of the series spin-off Angel

Sarah Michelle Gellar plays the title role of Buffy Anne Summers, a teenage girl who stands alone among her generation as the chosen one able to stand against va mpires, demons, and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer But Buffy is not alone in fulfilling her destiny as a slayer of vampires. She also receives help from the high school librarian, Rupert Giles (Anthony Stewart Head), who is a Watcher - the one chosen to train and guide slayers on their developmental path. In addition, new friends Willow Rosenberg (Alyson Hannigan - of American Pie fame) and Xander Harris (Nicholas Brendon) quickly uncover the truth of Buffy's destiny, and they often aid her in defending the world against evil forces

The Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Season 6) DVD offers a number of exciting episodes including the season premiere Bargaining: Part 1 in which the Slayerettes continue to chase after vampires in the aftermath of Buffy's death. Despite Willow's attempts to cover up the Slayer's death, a vampire discovers the truth and tells his friends. While Giles prepares to move away, Willow, Tara, Xander, and Anya perform a spell with the hope of resurrecting Buffy, but when vampires arrive, they must flee before learning if the spell worked or not Other notable episodes from Season 6 include After Life in which Buffy, now resurrected by the spell, finds herself craving the peace and solitude of the after life, and Wrecked in which a spaced out Willow crashes her car while driving via the use of magic instead of her hands

Free Movie Trailer Downloads

The Internet has revolutionized the entire concept of entertainment. Watching a Movie no longer requires planning a schedule for taking time out to watch Movie at the theatre, or the bother of renting out a DVD to watch Movies at home. Though, there are people who would still watch Movies in the theater or go in for a Movie rental, but the advances of technology has made it possible to watch Movies on your computer, free of cost and that too at a click of the mouse.

Added to the above is the fact that instead of downloading the entire Movies, you can download just the trailers for free. A trailer not only gives you a sneak preview of the Movie, but also lets you decide whether the Movie is worth downloading or if the better option would be to watch it in a theatre or rent a DVD. Also, you can download these trailers, copy them on a CD, and give them to your friends, who too can go through them and decide which Movie to watch.

Watching Movies or their trailers on the computer requires some basic hardware and software. First of all, you need to have a stable cable connection, whi ch can be a dial up connection using a 64 Kb phone modem or a DSL broadband 256 Kb connection which can start playing the Movie almost instantly. Once you have the connection, you need the QuickTime Movie player. The QuickTime media player is usually installed in any computer system. Otherwise you can easily download it for free from the internet. This software is a multipurpose multi media platform that enables you to watch the video and listen to the audio content of the Movie. This free download software supports varied platforms such as Mac OS X Tiger and Panther, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. This software has many advantages. It doesnt require any connection time and if you happen to lose the connection while watching a Movie, you dont have to reconnect it manually; it reconnects automatically. Also, it has the ability to determine your systems connection speed and then choose the highest quality stream that best fits the available bandwidth.

The software also makes your Movie watching experience all the more worthwhile, because unlike in a theatre, you can adjust the audio controls as per your liking. Us ing the audio controls, you can increase or decrease the volume or change the sound to bass, or treble response, as you like. You can browse to a particular scene or even change the size of the player window.

Sex And The City (Season 6) DVD Review

Based on the bestselling novel by Candace Bushnell, the HBO original series Sex And The City took the television world by storm following its release in the summer of 1998. How Real is Reality TV?

In today's world, reality TV shows are popping up everywhere. Over 70 reality shows have been produced to date according to a popular website. The popularity of these shows and their high ratings have attracted many people's attention and just about every TV network in America now airs some kind of reality show.

A reality TV show has real world people instead of paid actors and actresses. These shows are supposed to portray real life situations and events that affect people's lives. However, participants of reality TV shows are sometimes willing to go outside of their boundaries and do things that they would not necessarily do in their normal lives, without the cameras following their every move.

Some reality TV participants eat really disgusting, horrible strange things and perform potentially life threatening stunts in pursuit of monetary gain. Other participants are put in a house and expected to live in harmony with total strangers. These participants are usually under a lot of pressure when their characters clash.

Thousands upon thousands of Americans are watching reality TV shows every day. For some people, these shows help them realize that their lives are not all that bad after all. It helps them see that they are not the only ones with problems and dysfunctional lives and families.

Reality TV shows have affected society in many different ways. Some audiences get hooked on these shows because they help them escape their own real lives. The shows vary in theme and material and every show is designed to attract the biggest possible audience. The bigger the audience, the more money the shows make.

Some Reality TV may not be quite as real as we may like to think. Take the case of the hated apprentice contender Omarosa for example. According to a Time magazine article, she may have been the victim of reality TV editors. Some reality TV shows are edited to be dramatic and some quotes may actually be manufactured. Clashes and ugly feuds between the reality stars may be constructed and some parts of the shows may also be completely edited and cut out so they don't make the final show that people see on TV. Some critics actually charge that reality TV is not so real and that these shows may be far more manipulative than we think.

According to a poll by CNN, 57% of 1016 adults believe that Reality TV shows provide a distorted picture of events while another 23% say the shows are totally phoney. The amount of pressure for TV ratings pushes people to make the show more interesting.

When all is said and done, some people on the reality shows say that they were unfairly represented and the reality taken out of the show therefore making the show pure entertainment. However, participants of these shows are given warnings and they have to sign extensive and detailed legal waivers that protect the network from any liability if someone gets hurt on the show.

< p>The increase in demand for these reality TV shows is inevitable and the participants will be pushed to their limits for the bottom line. This happens to be ratings and entertainment.

Black Rider (The Casting of the Magic Bullets) Movie Review

What are the deals we all make with the devil and what will they cost us? It sounds strange to ask this question out loud but give it some thought. Examine the pathways and routines of your daily life. What are the bargains we strike, never thinking about when the bill will come? For some it's the bottle. We drink and then construct huge fortresses of reasons why. We gamble and then rearrange the rest of our lives to meet our debuts. Some deals are emotional. A man beats his wife and in the aftermath they whisper lovingly how this will be the last time. A deal with the devil doesn't necessarily involve a horned man with goatee, tail and a pitchfork. The devil, or evil, is implicit in every dark choice we make. At the heart of all of these dealings is a sense of borrowed time. There's no possible sustainability to these scenarios. As William S. Burroughs has made clear in his writings on addiction, there exists a, Geometry of Need. The more one does of whatever the substanc e, emotion or action, the more one needs to do. This exponential relationship has no happy ending. The costs are eventually extracted and won't be denied. These musings form the underlying center of the Robert Wilson, Tom Waits and William S. Burroughs musical, The Black Rider.

The Black Rider is not for the feint of heart. It is, simply put, a scouring. You leave the theatre almost at a loss for words to address the spectacle you've just witnessed. Elements of Kabuki, Balinese theatre, carnival sideshows and German Expressionism swirl, grimace and float into a singular vision of choices and consequences. The story follows the misfortunes of Wilhelm as he seeks to marry Kathchen, the daughter of a forest dwelling hunter. His occupation as a clerk is deemed unworthy and he sets about winning the approval of Kathchen's father by proving himself with a gun. After a miserable failure, he tries again. This time he meets Pegleg (the devil) and strikes a bargain that unfolds for the rest of the play.

Musically, we are treated to a fine sampling of some of Tom Waits' familiar territory. It's a seductive mix of decadent German Jazz and old world balladry. The band (The Magic Bullets) playing at the Ahmanson Theatre was amazing. Their skill and timing worked so well as to make the music become an unseen character, one integral to the on-stage action. Visually the play is both delightful and hypnotic. A good comparison are the sets and scenery used in such classic expressionist cinema as The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Nosferatu. At times it felt as though those films had come to life and were now playing themselves out in full color on the stage. Color and lighting are also key elements in telling the tale. Simple backdrops and small spotlights shift between vivid reds, blues and greens highlighting and commenting on the various scenes. The actor's makeup and costumes go back once again to German Expressionism for inspiration. The actor's fro zen and contorted expressions combined with whole body gestures bring to mind both Kabuki and Balinese theatre. As in both of those styles of performance, actors freeze into poses serving as signifiers of an archetype or mental state. The actor's moves are accented by wonderful clanking percussion and sound effects. The colors, costumes, sounds and staging all combine to great effect. It was an honor to sit for a couple of hours and witness this play.

One of the many functions of art is to pose questions. Some art also provides answers or examples. The Black Rider poses many questions; what will be the cost of this choice? How can we live with the outcomes of our actions? Why do we often choose the easy way out? The play asks many questions and while providing an example of one outcome, leaves us to find our own answers. The devil turns out to be sympathetic, even likable. The hero shows his true cowardly nature. It turns out that the black and white certainties of lif e are overshadowed by the grey area and the ambiguous.

Once again, 'The Black Rider is not for the feint of heart. At the performance I witnessed a handful of the sold-out crowd got up and left. I caught a few of their bewildered and disapproving scowls as they walked down the aisles towards the exits. I suppose that when confronted with the macabre and Grand Guignol tableau playing itself out in front of them, they recoiled. This play strikes awfully close to home. While it might not be for the feint of heart I would put forth that no meaningful art is.

ABC's Lost versus Fox's American Idol

What's good on TV these days? Gone are the golden days of half-hour gameshows and soap operas, with the exception of maybe Hollywood Squares and General Hospital. So what's new in the menu? Come the new millenium, the world is slapped with some programs never before seen on Television. Here, I would like to compare two of Television's recent prized possessions.

Lost If given only one word to describe this incomparable piece of fiction, it would be 'unique'. You won't be able to find a similar show anytime soon; it's genre ranges from mystery to suspense and maybe even thriller. Taking place in a faraway jungle-island, Lost is a depiction of several very different characters together, or sometimes separately, facing the dangers the island has to offer. How could one fabricate an intricate, believable story with this setting? The creators of Alias managed to pull it off with impressive results.

Adding to its uniqueness is that every episode focuses on one charac ter, a portion of his/her past (with cleverly placed flashbacks), and how each of them overcomes the difficulties in their hearts. While the plane crash survivors deal with conflicts within themselves, the secrets of the island slowly unfolds. None of them could imagine what lies beyond the sandy beaches and the green jungles. There is even a hint that all of them might be there because of destiny. (I would not call these spoilers, there is so much more to the story)

The first season has earned itself an astounding array of awards, much deserved undoubtedly. If shows like The O.C and Smallville are breaths of fresh air, Lost would be an oxygen tank. Even through half of season 2, the end doesn't look anywhere close. So much of open space for story-telling, a whole island, in fact. Five full stars, hands down.

America currently awaits episode 15 of Season 2 while Malaysia anticipates its third episode on AXN-Asia.

American Idol An ocean-consuming success th at has gained world-wide following even up the fifth season; this is American Idol. Reality TV has no prouder offsprings. This twice-a-week (now thrice) show attracts at least two kinds of people: the aspiring stars and their fans. Every year, thousands of hopefuls went the extra mile to take that one shot at stardom, or to simply make fools of themselves (intentionally or not).

The first section of American Idol sees the process of finding the needle in the haystack to pick the best of rest by three contrasting (though not necessarily contradicting) judges. This is one thing never before conceived, never before televised method of making stars out of singers. The filtering process gives a chance for the people at home to start liking some of the lads and lasses they see on the tube. Once the jaded shows begin, fans can vote for their favourite performers to keep them in the competition week after week. A system like this gives the audience a chance to determine the ou tcome of the show, making this Television show a two-way transaction. Hence the mass appeal.

Everything about this show is absolutely, or relatively new in the face of the world. Singing competitions often don't get televised, viewers only get to sit and watch before this, and they don't have to adore fictional characters anymore. It's the real thing: the winner proves him/herself to be the most likable (nobody said it's a talent show, it's all about America's chosen one). All in good effort to produce albums that people would rush to the stores to buy; a profitable collaboration of Television, record companies, and the phone company.

Comparing these two very different Television shows may not be give you a new outlook on them. But my conclusion is that the realm of TV has expanded its borders tremendously over the past decade. Entertainment through the same medium cannot be generalized anymore; it's a whole new world with different continents.

Indiana Jones Returns Too Little Too Late?

For those who came of age in the 1980s during a time of sleek consumerism and homogenous globalization, Indiana Jones was something of an idol. Harking back to a time when the jungles of South America and the Pyramids of Egypt were truly a world away, the Indiana Jones trilogy excited in us a feeling of adventure that has been rarely seen before or since.

The popularity of the Indiana Jones Movies stems not just from the fact that they were directed and acted by some of the greatest Hollywood talent of the day, but also from the fact that the Movies were classic adventures. They were swashbuckling epics that found an ideal mix of adv enture, intrigue and mystery, steeped in myth and mysticism.

This formula was clearly successful. The first Indiana Jones Movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, was the highest grossing Movie of 1981 and was nominated for eight Academy Awards (of which it won four). The following two instalments, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade, fared almost as well, each winning an Academy Award and grossing hundreds of millions of dollars.

Since 1989, though, all has been quiet on the Indy front. Despite regular calls for a fourth Movie there were no developments for years. Rumor and hearsay surrounded plans for the fourth Indiana Jones Movie since 1995, when Last Crusade writer Jeffrey Boam was asked to write a script.

Since then, several screenwriters and directors have attempted to take on the project -- including Chris Columbus (Home Alone), M Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense) and Frank Darabont (The Shawshank Redemption) -- without success.

Finally, though, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Harrison Ford have accepted a script written by David Koepp (Spiderman, War of the Worlds). As of July 2006 Spielberg and Koepp were fine-tuning the screenplay in advance of pre-production, expected to begin in early 2007.

The question that will be repeatedly posed by fans of the series over the next couple of years is this: will it be possible to recreate the magic of the original trilogy? Hollywood has moved on since the 1980s, and audiences have come to demand big budget CGI and dazzling visual effects. Despite winning the Academy Award for Visual Effects with Temple of Doom, the appeal of the Indiana Jones Movies was never in their special effects. In fact, Temple of Doom -- admitted by Lucas and Spielberg as the most visual effects-heavy of the trilogy -- saw the most disappointing box office performance of the three.

The main concern, though, is Harrison Ford's age. Already in his 40s in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ford will be at least 65 when filming begins on the fourth Movie. Even with the use of makeup, camera trickery and stuntmen, how can it be possible to remain faithful to the original trilogy when the star is old enough to draw a pension?

Despite these worries, however, one thing is certain. Come the release date a couple of years from now we'll see a sudden surge in the sales of fedoras and bullwhips. He may be old enough to qualify for a buss pass, but there's something about Indiana Jones that brings out the child in us all.

Dateline Child Predators

The Internet has its positives and negatives. Some of its positive are the information it can provide people with, it is good for socializing with people, and if can be used to make money. One of many negative of the Internet is that it can be used for the purpose of child enticement. Many parents may not have understood how big the problem was until dateline began to run child predator shows a few years back.

In these child predator show men are lured to a home with the impression that they are meeting a young boy or girl. Once they arrive they are surprised to see a journalist and cameras. The thing that dateline has done by doing this is alert parents of the dangers that are online so that they can make sure their child is not lured in by an adult. The shows may also entice some predators to get help so that they do not put themselves in a position to be exposed on national television as a pervert.

The best thing the shows do is let parents know that they ha ve to educate themselves about the Internet and advances in technology since it changes to often. When parents do not do that, that is when horrible things happen.

Jon Jost Independent Filmmaker 1 2 3 Four

Jon Jost, independent film-maker. The early Films

4. 1, 2, 3, Four

Jon Jost's 1, 2, 3, Four' (1969-70) is another early short from which elements, both thematic and formal, can be traced into the features. It is an essay on political and social problems, constructed as a montage of images, dialogue, printed texts, readings, and action. The arrangement of these elements creates a dialectical process in which points of view are played off against one another both within each scene, and in the juxtaposition of scenes.

One short scene neatly illustrates Jost's aim (discussed earlier in connection with the scene which pans across four people) of translating his ideas into film:

A man is sitting at a work bench assembling a bomb, while reading aloud a passage which equates poetry and revolution. At the end of the reading he drops a lighted match into a tin can, and a little explosion sends up a puff of smoke. In front of the can is a clapper-board.

Jost is equating his film with a terrorist's bomb, both being intended to shock us into taking note of a message, and at the same time asserting his belief that a film is a better medium for the communication of his radical ideas than a bomb. Jost's bomb is purely visual, a harmless but potent tool designed to entertain us while he delivers his message.

The main subject of the film, however, is the difficulty of communication between people with polarised attitudes. Subtitled 'An Essay on Domestic Problems', (domestic in two senses), the film looks at private conflict and national conflict, and at the inseparability of the two. Perhaps the most important kind of polarisation, with regard to later development in the features, is that between male and female attitudes. The couple in the film do not talk to, or listen to each other, they are constantly arguing, and therefore not communicating.

He puts a record on the stereo, she takes it off. He puts it on again, she takes it off again.

He: Why are we living together?

She: Because you don't like to be alone. And because you're good in bed.

Voice: How do you translate happiness?

She: Money.

Voice: How do you translate love?

She: F - .

He: The dishes are dirty.

She: (angry) I don't feel like doing the dishes.

A plate is smashed.

Persistent confrontation without communication leads to the impoverishment of human values, such as love and happiness, and to destruction. And any hope of communication is thwarted by their irreconcilable attitudes to life.

She: Are you happy?

He: I can't be happy while General Motors exists.

She: What would make you happy?

He: To be rid of General Motors. Or to be fighting against General Motors.

He: What would make you happy?

She: A garden, a river, the sky.

We see her walking naked through a wood, but this pastoral fantasy is shattered by the roar of a jet aeroplane overhead.

This fundamental incompatibility of male and female is a recurring theme in Jost's work. The woman is content to exist, and looks for fulfilment in the quality of her day-to-day life, but the man can only define his existence in terms of what he does, he needs to live for something. This view is expounded in the short 'A Man is More than the Sum of His Parts A Woman is . . . ' (1971), in which women are likened to a queen bee, and men to the workers and drones. 'l, 2, 3, Four' takes the insect metaphor even further, likening woman to the female spider which seduces the male then consumes him while he copulates. These daunting, and perhaps misogynistic views might be seen as underlying the male/female relationships in 'Last Chants for a Slow Dance' and 'Slow Moves'.

'1, 2, 3, Four' ends with an attempt at reconciliation. We are given this argument connecting domestic life to political issues: 'If you traced the wires by which el ectricity reaches your home back to their source, you would find a pile of dead bodies'. Then, coupled with an image of a candle being blown out, a girl says: I love you, therefore I will never use electricity again. This final conceit synthesises the opposites, male and female, rational and irrational, political awareness and personal love. But it is absurd and impossible. It seems there is no real solution.

The film ends on a close-up of a happy-looking couple, leaning against their house with arms around each other. But how long can such happiness last? How long will it be before irreconcilable conflict sets in?

How To Buy Download Movie Files Legally From Your Computer

Due to fears about digital piracy, the film industry has taken a bold step, which seems to be working very well and catching on with the masses. Hollywood, fearful of what happened to the music industry due to piracy, and its vendors, coming under intense pressure, have began offering consumers the opportunity to buy Movie downloads.

At the moment, only two download services, Movielink and CinemaNow, are offering these new services. The new service of buying Movie downl oads online is changing the traditional way of releasing Movies. Both the sites will be having the Movie downloads at exactly the same time the DVDs will be released on the market. His will also bring Hollywood studios in competition with DVD retailers such as Wal-Mart and Blockbuster. Hollywood would now also be expanding its revenue sources.

Some of the features offered by Movielink include films from six of the top seven in Hollywood, with titles such as King Kong, Saw II, Brokeback Mountain, and the latest Harry Potter Movies.

However, there are restrictions involved this process as well. While Movielink will be providing Movies from all studios, CinemaNow will only have Movies from the studios of Sony, MGM, and Lionsgate. Movielink will not be having any Movies from Walt Disney (DIS), while CinemaNow won't have Movies from Warner Brothers, Universal, Paramount, Fox, or Disney. Among CinemaNows early offerings included Memoirs of a Geisha, Brokeback Mountain, Fun with Dick and Jane, etc.

Both Movie sites debuted with several hundred older films. Unlike their current ser vices, in which online shoppers pay around $4 to rent new Movies for up to a month, the Movies will be sold for prices similar to home video. That means, that each Movie will cost around $20 to $30 for newer films, and $10 to $20 for older Movies. Amongst the two sites, CinemaNow is emerging to the more aggressi ve site, offering some of its new Movies for under $20 as well in order to increase traffic to the site. It was also offering a two-for-one sale at the start of its website, where the second film costs $4.95 only.

However, in order to avoid direct competition with retailers, the downloaded Movies are available with several restrictions. Both sites only allow the downloaded Movies to be stored on computers or on game player like Xbox which have Microsoft softwares. Custome rs will not be able to burn or copy the downloaded Movies onto CDs or onto DVD players. However, you can share the Movies from one computer to another. Customers can also connect their PCs to their televisions to play the downloaded Movie from their computers onto their TV sets.

This new buy Movie download s services is a major change for Movie studios, one that is surely going to go a long way in curbing piracy. However, many studios are worried that the Movies will not be safeguarded if they stay on computers for longer periods of time. The effectiveness of this service, though, still remains to be seen.

Films The Haunted Palace

Vincent Price plays Joseph Curwen, a man accused of being a warlock. The townspeople of the village of Arkham tied him to a tree and burned him. Joseph Curwen cursed the village people and vowed to return.

110 years later, the great-great grandson of Joseph Curwen, Charles Dexter Ward, also played by Vincent Price, along with his wife, Ann Ward, played by Debra Paget, returns to the town. Charles Dexter Ward had recently acquired his family home and upon his and his wife's arrival, they meet Simon the caretaker, played by Lon Chaney Jr.

Charles and Ann decided to have a walk around town only to be greeted or should I say not greeted by some townspeople who looked deformed and weren't very happy to see Charles and Ann. Befriended by the local doctor, Dr. Willet, who walks Charles and Ann to their home and joins them for dinner, he tells the Wards (Charles and Ann) the story about Joseph Curwen. Dr. Willet elaborates about Joseph Curwen's practices of witc hcraft and unholy experiments on humans, which cause the mutations on some of the townspeople and cause them to fear the Wards.

Feeling unwelcome, the Wards decided to leave Arkham only to have their decision changed by Simon the caretaker; so the Wards spend the night at the family home. Upon looking at the portrait of Joseph Curwen, Charles Dexter Ward's body is possessed by his great-great grandfather. Simon the caretaker is actually a friend of Joseph Curwen's past and Simon along with a third friend named Jabez are reunited with Joseph Curwen. The three men want to unlock the secrets of the book of Necronomicon and unleash evil beings upon the world.

Ann Ward is frightened by her husband's odd behavior and strange mood swings. Feeling frustrated by Ann's refusal to fulfill her wifely duties, the possessed Charles Ward along with Simon and Jabez , bring Hester, a former servant and mistress of Joseph Curwen's past, back to life.

The possessed Charle s commit a series of murders as an act of revenge against the descendants of the townspeople who burned Joseph Curwen 110 years ago. Ann disturbed by the strange sounds at night, decides to look around the home. Unfortunately, she finds Charles along with Simon, Jabez and Hester trying to bring back the evil beings again. They give Ann a first hand look by making a sacrifice or rather a mating partner with these evil beings.

Fortunately, Dr. Willet makes a visit to the home. The evil beings cause a fire which burns the family home and Dr. Willet rescues Charles and Ann from it. Ann asks Charles Are you sure you're alright? Charles replies with a possessed look upon his face towards the audience Perfectly sure, my dear. Perfectly sure.

Movie Review Marty (1955)

MARTY (1955) is a film that cleaned up the Oscars in 1956 including Best Actor in a Leading Role for Ernest Borgnine, Best Director for Delbert Mann, and the Best Screenplay for the immortal Paddy Chayefsky.

Borgnine, whom we usually appreciate in secondary support roles, really nailed this role of a fat and ugly butcher from New York's Italian neighborhood. You would think he was created for this role.

Betsy Blair, as the sensitive girl whom Marty loves and is loved in return, shines in an equally strong performance but she has been skipped by the Academy even though she was nominated for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role. What a shame.

It is partly her very credible portrayal of this vulnerable highschool teacher from Brooklyn that brought out Marty's nurturing and compassionate side in full relief. The movie also won the Best Picture award for Harold Hecht.

Let me also add that Borgnine beat the likes of Frank Sinatra, Spencer Tracy, James De an and James Cagney that year to win the Oscar.

Marty is a movie short on plot but deep in character and emotions. Marty is a 34 yr old butcher constantly assailed for not still having married despite the fact that his younger brother married the week before.

Burnt many times in the past by rejection, he is reserved and does not want to go out and date girls. But the delicate and equally rejected girl he meets by chance at the Stardust Dancing Hall changes his life over a single Saturday night.

The subplot involving his aging mother with whom he lives and his gloomy aunt, and the fears and idiosyncrasies of both ladies with heavy accents provide a nice counterpoint to Marty's lead story.

A study in human dignity, hope and loneliness, Marty ends up on an upbeat note where even the dogs find the happiness they deserve in life -- especially when they have a heart of gold.

The Real World Season Seventeen Episode Thirteen "Opening Day" Recap 5/16

After the delay caused by Hurricane Katrina, the cast of the Real World Key West are ready to open their Mystic Tan salon. That night, they make their usual rounds of the bars, but this time theyre also promoting their opening the next day. On opening day, John is worn out by his marketing efforts the night before, and he decides to take a nap in the closet.

Paula Meronek is aghast at this both at John for taking the nap and at her roommates for not being outraged as well.

That night, the group is out drinking again, and Paulas resentment is unleashed. In case you ever need to spot a drunken Paulie Walnuts in the wild for yourself, heres what to look for 1)Repeated shouting of the phrase, Kiss my aaaaass! 2)Occasional use of a baby voice. 3)Out-of-control outbursts. 4)Frustrated growling when words fail. 5)Panicked gulping and near-hyperventilation.

The first three are exhibited in the van on the way home and directed at John. At first, he ignores her . But she will not relent, and John rips back into her, calling attention to her anorexia and self-mutilating behavior. The entire van gets quiet but his comments are painfully accurate.

Later, Paula then adds the fourth and fifth stages of Paulie Walnuts to her behavior for the evening. Strangely, her anger is directed at Jose Tapia and Zach.

The next morning, Paula pieces together the night by talking to the other housemates. Janelle confirms that she did start the fight with John.

Meanwhile, John and Zach decompress from the evening at the salon. John says the only solution he sees is to not be around Paula when shes drinking.

Later, at the salon, when Paula arrives, John approaches her and says he cant be around her anymore when shes boozing. She acknowledges her actions and the two seem to make peace.

Review of Bravo's Work Out

Work Out, a fitness-based docu-drama featuring trainer to the stars, Jackie Warner and the opening of her new workout facility, was Bravo's sleeper hit of the summer of 2006. Work Out gained viewers near the end of its short television run, drawing in an audience of close to one million for its finale. The finale was above and beyond the most viewed episode of the show, inspiring Bravo President, Laura Zalaznick, to consider another installation of the series.

Zalaznick states, We are doing jumping jacks in the halls today at Bravo. With Work Out weve introduced a dynamic new personality, Jackie Warner, who has connected and inspired viewers with her passionate and focused approach to life.

Jackie Warner, owner of Sky Sport and Spa in Beverly Hills, California, is an out and proud lesbian who engaged viewers with an honest look at her professional and personal life. Much of the reality series focused on Jackies love relationship with then girlfriend Mimi, a wom an 10 years Warners junior. Warner opened Sky Sport and Spa in 2004, coming to the attention of Bravo after a cameo appearance in Jonathan Antins reality series Blow Out. The source of most of the shows success is the rollercoaster of a relationship between Warner and her younger girlfriend, both of whom battle for control of each other. As Sky Sport develops as a celebrity work out center, media and public attention grows tenfold for Jackie, who travels all over the country to train famous and wealthy clients. Mimi responds to the frequent trips with anger and jealousy; in fact, her jealous rages included throwing a drink at Warner in a bar, biting Warners hand until she drew tears, and stomping on pictures of Sky Sports female clientele. The finale brings the relationship problems to a new level, as Mimi is carried out of Warners celebration by security. Warner was left with no choice but to accept that the relationship does not fit her professional lifestyle.

Work O ut gave its viewers an unfettered glimpse into the 24/7 life of a professional woman who identifies as a lesbian. Another central issue during the series was the strife between Warner and her mother, a highly religious woman who shuns her daughters personal life. All audiences, straight and gay, male and female, can relate to Warners unbridled passion for success and her quest to live a well balance life of career, family and personal growth. Audiences hope to see Work Out return for another run on Bravo in 2007.

Subtle Racial Dynamics at Play on The Apprentice

The Apprentice is one of my favourite shows. Why? It's simple. It feels like home. It reminds me of some of the tough political dynamics and intrigue that one experiences when they are working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing corporation.

The pressure is on! On The Apprentice, the cut throat competition that is usually behind the scenes and disguised in the form of subtle innuendo, is exposed and laid bare for all to see.

This was apparent during the season 4 finale and the controversy that followed it. Let me refresh your memory. Dr. Randal Pinkett, a highly educated and experienced African American business man, was crowned as The Apprentice. When all the excitement that accompanied the announcement had subsided, Donald Trump asked Randal if he felt a case could be made for Rebecca to share his title. Randal responded ....this is the Apprentice, not the Apprentii. The controversy that followed Randal's response was unprecedented in the history of The Apprent ice.

Dr. Randal Pinkett was a Rhodes Scholar. He has a Ph.D. and MBA from MIT. Combine that with over 12 years of business experience with giants like Lucent and an entrepreneurial track record. His education, business experience and track record on the show were HEAD and shoulders above Rebecca's. Compare Rebecca's 1-2 record with Randal's 3-0 record. Remember, Randal pretty well handed Rebecca her only win. Combine that with Randal's outstanding leadership skills, and his incredible likability.

Now I am not taking anything away from Rebecca. She is bright, hard working, and determined. She overcame some incredible odds and thrived under pressure. She even completed the season with a broken ankle. In the grand scheme of things, though, people seem to forget that Randal was coping with the death of his grandmother which was an even MORE traumatic experience than a broken ankle.

Now I am not taking anything away from Rebecca. She is bright, hard working, and determined. She overcame some incredible odds and thrived under pressure. She even completed the season with a broken ankle. In the grand scheme of things though, people forget that Randal was coping with the death of his grandmother which was an even MORE traumatic experience than a broken ankle.

So, was the Donald out of line when he asked Dr. Randal Pinkett to share his crown with Rebecca? Was Randal being selfish when he said no? Some writers have even gone so far as to brand Donald's question as racist. I think that this misses the mark. In my opinion, more subtle dynamics were at play that give us insight into some of the hidden barriers that African Americans face in corporate America.

It's all about perception and it's not conscious. Donald did select Randal as his Apprentice and other African Americans have done well on the show.

Remember, the age old advice that many Black parents have given to their children You have to be twice as qualified to get the same job as a White person? The Randal/Rebecca incident plays this out perfectly.

I am not for a second taking anything away from Bill Ranic. He is the Apprentice because he earned it. However, let's contrast how Randal's victory was handled with the season one finale.

This time we have African American Kwame facing off against Bill. Kwame had FAR more experience and a much solid tack record than Rebecca both on and off the show. He held a B.S. in Business Administration (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) and an MBA (Harvard). He had entrepreneurial experience with a number of dot coms and experience with Fortune 500 companies including solid sales and marketing experience with Procter & Gamble a stint as an Investment Manager for Goldman Sachs on Wall Street. Yet, despite all of this, was Bill asked if Kwame should share his title? No!

The results of a poll on the NBC's official web site for The Apprentice are telling:

Who would yo u have hired?

- Randal 42%
- Rebecca 58%

It is unbelievable that, despite Randal's STELLAR track record, Rebecca was STILL perceived as the better performer.

A bright and talented but relatively inexperienced Caucasian woman whose only win on the show was virtually handed to her by Randal was perceived as being more of a super-star than Randal. In fact, it boggles my mind that consideration was even given to having TWO Apprentii.

It all comes down to perception and a lot of this is not conscious. That is why it's difficult to address subtle racial dynamics in the corporate world.

Sadly, even in 2006, a person of African descent has to out perform his White co-workers by a LONGSHOT to be even CONSIDERED as an equal. On the Apprentice we once again saw that art imitates life demonstrated in FULL force. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

No. Randal was not ungracious. He was appropriately assertive in response to a ver y difficult and unexpected question. Good for you Randal!

Taxi (Season 3) DVD Review

With its biting humor and eccentric characters, Taxi is widely lauded as one of the top sitcoms in television history. The brainchild of James L. Brooks, whose golden touch played a role in such hits as The Andy Griffith Show, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, and The Simpsons, Taxi continues to entertain and gather generations of new fans through syndicated reruns. With a superb cast and great writers, the show introduced the world to the comedic talents of Hollywood mainstays like Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Marilu Henner, Christopher Lloyd, and Andy Kaufman.

Taxi follows the daily operations of the Sunshine Cab Company, a New York City taxi service run by tyrannical dispatcher Louie De Palma (Danny DeVito). De Palmas self-centered sarcastic remarks are often dispensed from the safety of his pathetically small office in the corner of the body shop, while various employees like Alex Reiger (Judd Hirsch), Tony Banta (Danza), and Elaine Nardo (Henner) socialize and plot agains t their common enemy. Add foreign mechanic Latka Gravas (Kaufman) to the mix and all the ingredients are in place for hours of endless laughter. As the characters deal with problems of varying degree in their personal lives, the audience is treated to some of the best comedy ever produced for the small screen.

The Taxi (Season 3) DVD features a number of hilarious episodes including the season premiere Louies Rival in which Louies girlfriend Zena dumps him for a bartender at Marios. Danny DeVito provides another hilarious performance as the heartless Louie Other notable episodes include The Costume Party in which the gang crashes a luxury yacht party in the hopes of meeting some famous people, and Bobby and the Critic in which Bobby happens upon one of the theater critics who recently bashed his performance.

College Humor Television May Cause Cancer

Dear College Humor Television,

I was surfing through your site to do some research on what passes for college entertainment for my Senior Seminar project. After trying to force a smile at College Humor.coms April Fools joke this year, I clicked on the CHTV logo to see the first episode of the sites TV show. Im not an expert on college television, but Id like to think I know a thing or two about what is funny, and what makes people want to play with a sheet of metal during a thunderstorm. I can say without any shred of doubt CHTV is the latter.

The fact that College Humor has a developmental deal with SONY Pictures makes me want to cut my wrists, and hope I survive long enough to cut them again. Here is what is wrong with CHTV. First, your host looks like Captain Emo. When I see him I see the face of Dashboard Confessional fans. And studies have shown being exposed to people who like Dashboard or other fine emo music leads to the Ebola virus. Another highly cont agious disease that, like emo music, makes people vomit in-between wild fits of fevor and crying in the corner. Man on the street segments dont work for Jay Leno or David Letterman; theyre not going to work for you. And oh yeah, way to be hip and edgy by asking people when was the last time they got laid. Like we havent heard that one on the National Lampoon Network or any HBO special involving regular people. The Black Eyed Peas joke made me want to piss myself.

Not because it was funny, but because the filth I would be swimming in would be more entertaining than the excrement I was watching on your show. A college student in New York City is as far as you can get from the portrayal of the average college student, which you claimed to be reaching in your man on the street segment. There is nothing wrong with college students from New York City, but all because you were too lazy to film the segment elsewhere doesnt give you the right to advertise you were reaching out to the average college student.

The rejected video segment and random fact segments were terrible. The facts werent even funny. College students dont care about the lottery, and the Super Mario Brothers joke died before it even left the hosts mouth. I realize Ebaums World has a TV deal with USA Network to do pretty much what you just did with showing rejected clips, but all because theyre doing it doesnt mean you should. Are you seriously that desperate for something to rip off? If you are I recommend just about anything on Comedy Central because Comedy Central is about as funny as a September 11th movie.

Hey, do you know any funny fart jokes? Why dont you work some of those in there? You can ask Judah Friedlander to write some funny jokes for you. Because his segment was so funny, I was hoping a doctor would come in and tell me I had cancer of the eye, and my brain made up Judah Friedlander to give me a reason not to prolong death. I dont know how he gets work, but like him, I hope your show never reproduces. The last thing we need is another edgy college television show that just makes us look like a bunch of white, quasi-retarded men and women who suffer from alcoholism, slack off, and sleep around. Thanks; at least the next time I dont get hired for a job when I graduate Ill know whom to blame.

Sincerely,

Brandon J. Mendelson

Vintage Movie Review: Dangerous Corner The Study Of An English Lady Romance Novelist

Doris Lloyd takes on the character of Miss Maud Mockeridge, English lady Romance Novelist in the twisty Dangerous Corner (1934 US). Forget the plot and surprise ending; just study Maud.

(Virginia Bruce as Ann, Melvyn Douglas as Charles)

Publishing partners Ann and Charles are also romantically flitting around each other, though this has been pushed aside in the busyness of manuscripts and Authors.

Opening scene: Ann is about to host a breakfast interview on her apartment balcony for Romance Author Maud Mockeridge. The English lady Novelist has already published A Flame, Scarlet Flowers, Burnt Wings and Paradise For Two. Over kippers and toast they discuss her new book Ecstasy and a possible contract before Maud travels back to England.

Charles arrives unexpectedly before Miss Mockeridge and lighthearted Romance takes place. The maid answers the door to the famous dame of love.

Ann, anxious about being discovered with a man in her apartment before breakfast declares to Charles: Stand in the middle of floor and look innocent.

Charles: Yeah, that's our great trouble. We are innocent. All we ever do is stand in the middle of the room.

Maud Mockeridge's bosom rises in poetic moral amusement: I came in a minute too early. He lingered a moment too late in fond farewell.

She adds in haste: I have my own moral code. It's quite simple. Two baths a day and mind your manners.

Later that morni ng Ann joyfully announces to her publishing partners that she has secured a three year contact with Miss Mockeridge. Next month Ecstasy will be ready. Six months later Emma The Passionate and in one year Sleeping Dog.

Some time passes and the partners gather for a dinner party where Maude's new novel Sleeping Dogs brings a foam of questions about truth. The title is based on an old proverb meaning don't disturb the truth.

Charles: Which the chief character, the husband, insisted on disturbing with strange and disastrous consequences.

The truth is questioned by all. Ann: Well there's truth; and then there's truth.

A bagful of views on truth and complete truth is unloosed. Arguments arise and Maud is mentally taking notes of the situation. Perhaps she is adding to her mind's collection of notes for future novels? She leaves with a Miss Marple style Goodbye thus showing her dislike of unharmonious gatherings.

Maud Mockeridge is a wonderful example of the 1930's style Romance Author... refined, sophisticated, unhurried, and sought after by a sighing following of women. Publishers wooed her. Not crimped by the winds of today's frantic marketing, she was free to do what Authors do best. She just wrote!

Keanu Reeves Does NOT Suck And I Can Prove It

If I were to tell you about an actor that has worked consistently in major Hollywood Movies for over two decades, has worked often with Academy-Award winning writers, actors and directors and who has a legion of fans that follow him in all his Movies no matter the genre or story, what would your immediate reaction to this person be? Would you think Wow, this guy must be great. Twenty years of studio Movies, he must be talented. Based solely on the description of the actor written above, with no names attached, would you ever in your right mind assume that the person was bad at his craft; that he sucked. Chances are you wouldnt. And yet, if after giving you that description I told you the actor was Keanu Reeves, I bet I know what your reaction would be. He sucks!

I just dont get it. In every interview he gives he comes across as an insightful, cerebral, well-rounded person who doesnt mire himself in the vagaries of stardom and never asks for more than he needs. His co-stars glow about him, and quality directors line up to put him in their Movies. And yet, for some inexplicable reason, he is plagued by this notion that he is dumb. And that he is untalented. And I just dont get it.

How can he suck if hes still making big Movies twenty years into his career? The majority of his early peers are gone and forgotten; actors like Christian Slater, Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, Andrew McCarthy, et al, and yet here he is coming out with a huge new movie this Friday (The Lake House). He has survived critical drubbings more severe than he deserves. He has been heckled and flamed and deplored because he has good looks, but a vacant affectation. He is perceived as a flat actor, devoid of charisma, empty of emotional depth. And yet, hes still here making big Movies. So you explain it to me.

I have been a fan of Keanu since his Bill & Ted days. I have defended my love for the man who would be Neo to every one of my friends a nd family. I have gotten into screaming matches with people I barely know, just because I heard them bash the man. And I have never lost an argument about him, because no one can prove that he isnt a gifted, talented performer. They lose, because I can prove that he is.

But my arguing stops now. Once and for all I am going to prove to the world that Keanu Reeves does NOT suck. And I will prove it to you in 40 point list format. I promise you that when you finish reading this piece you will respect, admire and appreciate the talent that is Keanu Reeves.

Let the proving begin

1.If you werent impressed by Keanus mean, Southern Redneck in The Gift or at least agree he was impressively intense, well then we have nothing to talk about. Just click the X and leave this site immediately.

2.Contrary to popular belief, has never won a Razzie Award. Which is more than I can say for these actors: Halle Berry, Charlton Heston, John Travolta, Bruce Willis, K evin Costner, Demi Moore, Marlon Brando, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Sharon Stone, Faye Dunaway, Woody Harrelson and Madonna

3.Without being asked, gave $38 Million dollars to The Wachowski Brothers so that they could properly finish the Matrix sequels. $38 Million! Lets see Tom Cruise drop that much for one of his clunkers.

4.Has worked with the following critically acclaimed directors: Francis Ford Coppola, Ron Howard, Bernardo Bertolucci, Gus Van Sant, Sam Raimi, Taylor Hackford, Lawrence Kasdan, Stephen Frears, Richard Linklater

5.Whoa

6.Keanus name means cool breeze over the mountains in Hawaiian, which is pretty cool. Compare that to Jean Claude Van Damme, which is loosely translated in German as giant douchebag.

7.The night before he was to shoot his kissing-h eavy love scene for A Walk in the Clouds, Keanu took a hockey puck to his mouth, which required six stitches. He still showed up the next day for work and shot the scene over the course of six hours. Lets see a pussyboy like Orlando Bloom do that! Keanu is hardcore.

8.Showing extreme foresight and good judgment (which is more than I can say for Sandra Bullock), passed on an easy $10 million payday to star in Speed 2, because he didnt think the script was any good. And he was right. Tell me again why people think hes stupid?

9.Deferred part of his salary on The Replacements (2000) so Gene Hackman could be cast. Obviously, the man knows what makes a movie great. And that would be the Hack Man.

10.Has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They dont just give those out, you know.

11.A personal quote: I'm a meathead, man. You've got smart people, and you've got dumb people. I just happen to be dumb. At least the man is brave enough to admit who he is.

12.Is not nearly as stiff, wooden or stupid as Paul Walker.

13.Has starred in six $100 Million grossing Movies. Which is more than the following actors who many claim are better than Keanu: Johnny Depp, George Clooney, Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio, Colin Farrell, Richard Gere, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Val Kilmer, Jude Law, Matthew McConaughey, Sean Penn, Joaquin Phoenix, Tim Robbins, Kevin Spacey, Vince Vaughn, Dennis Quiad and Al freakin Pacino!

14.Almost never shows up in tabloids, an extremely welcome quality considering the glut of media whores we have today (ahem, TomKat!).

15.Yeah it gave people the impression hes an idiot, and no, its not Shakespeare, but cmon, who doesnt love Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure!

16.I am an F-B-I Agent! That line rules.

17.Decided to leave his band Dogstar so that the rest of the group would not be held back by his celebrity or by his busy schedule. Which is more than I can say for a few other jackass actors/wannabe rockers (ahem, Russell Crowe).

18.Managed to keep a straight face all the way through the abysmally crappy Sweet November. That takes talent people.

19.Has worked with the following Academy Award winning actors: Al Pacino, Gene Hackman, Rachel Weisz, Charlize Theron, Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Morgan Freeman, Anthony Hopkins, Emma Thompson, Denzel Washington, Anthony Quinn, Kevin Kline, William Hurt, and then guy who played Bill in Bill & Teds. Im pretty sure hes won a couple Oscars by now.

20.Is The One. Warrants mentioning.

21.Knows his acting limitations and in doing so, does not try to overextend himself in roles he couldnt do; which means not only that his Movies are better, but so is every movie he turns down. Hes making Movies hes NOT in better, someone give it up for this man.

22.Does not own a computer. So you know what that means is not a MySpace whore.

23.In his review for Speed, Rog er Ebert had this to say about Keanu: Keanu Reeves has never had a role like this before. In fact, in his previous film, he played the mystical Prince Siddhartha, and generally he tends toward dreamy, sensitive characters. That's why it's sort of amazing to see him so cool and focused here, a completely convincing action hero who is as centered and resourceful as a Clint Eastwood or Harrison Ford in similar situations.

24.Has made Movies in every single genre.

25.He played Buddha. No, Im serious, the Buddha. Between playing the freaking Buddha and playing a stoner in Bill & Teds, why do people think he has no range?

26.Back in the 80s, he taught stoners of the world something about history (and brought Napoleon to Waterlube). Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't add that he's totally non, non non, non non, non, non heinous.

27.And despite being viewed as a stoner, has never been pigeonholed on screen. In his various film roles, he has played: an FBI ag ent, a cop, a serial killer, a lawyer, a doctor, a dentist, the One, a Quarterback, a musician, an ad exec, a nuclear physicist (hello!), a redneck, a soldier, the freakin Buddha, a gay hustler, and a Dog Boy.

28.He knows kung fu. So, you know, dont screw with him.

29.When Keanu decides to do a sequel: Bill & Teds Bogus Journey. When Keanu decides not to do a sequel: Speed 2. Can this guy pick winners, or what?

30.Is none of the following: a Scientologist (Tom Cruise), a john (Hugh Grant), a drug addict (Robert Downey Jr.), a cheat (Jude Law), a phone-thrower (Russell Crowe), hard to work with (Val Kilmer) or a mean bastard (Sean Penn)

31.Besides his obvious acting talents, Keanu also: surfs, rides motorcycles, was a good enough hockey goalie to earn the nickname The Wall, performs Shakespeare, reads philosophy, plays guitar in a slew of rock bands, ballroom dances, horseback rides, and knows kung fu. Is there anything he cant do?

32.His nam e is actually pronounced kay-ah-nu, not key-ah-nu, and yet never makes a fuss out of it (ahem, DEMI!).

33.Has romanced on-screen: Charlize Theron (twice), Sandra Bullock (twice), Monica Bellucci (twice), Rachel Weisz (twice), Carrie-Anne Moss (thrice), Diane Lane, Connie Nielson, Dina Meyer and Uma Thurman. This does not necessarily prove his specific level of suckage, but it does prove that hot actresses want to bang him on-screen, which is an important quality in todays movie stars. For example, nobody wants to nail Adam Sandler, and hes not nearly as good an actor as Keanu, even if you count Punch-Drunk Love twice.

34.Was in the Pilot episode of the awesome short-lived Jay Mohr show, Action. And since that show ruled all, he in turn, receives a percentage of the ruling. Lets say 17%.

35.To his everlasting credit, never made a cameo appearance on Will & Grace, which makes him only one of five movie stars in the world never to have done so.

36.Wa s the host for a documentary show called Children Remember the Holocaust. He supports the faith, I support him.

37.Has a college class based around his Movies. The Films of Keanu Reeves at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Name another supposedly sucky actor that has a college class named after him? Thats right, you cant, because Keanus the only one. Because he kicks ass AND educates the youth of tomorrow.

38.Turned down the Val Kilmer role in Heat to do a production of Hamlet in Canada. If I havent said it before, let me say it now, the man is devoted to his craft. He works on it, he tries new things. He keeps working. Even if you think hes not getting better, at least hes trying. How many movie stars keep pushing themselves after they hit it big? How many just coast along on generic roles and unspectacular performances? Keanu pushes himself. Screw all to his limitations, he pushes himself and I respect him for it.

39.British t heater critic Roger Lewis of the Sunday Times in London (who knows something about Shakespeare, after all he is British) had this to say about Keanus Winnipeg-based performance of The Prince of Denmark in Hamlet: He quite embodied the innocence, the splendid fury, the animal grace of the leaps and bounds, the emotional violence, that form the Prince of Denmark. He is one of the top three Hamlets I have seen, for a simple reason: he is Hamlet.

40.Brought unto the world the phrase Bogus, dude, for which we are all eternally grateful.

Now tell me, after reading this piece, do you still think he sucks?

I didnt think so.
