The Top 10 Sports Movies of All Time

There have been thousands of sports movies throughout the years. Some have been absolute crap and most are mediocre at best, but there are that select few that remain deep-seated in our memories. Those movies not only invoke our passion of sports, they manage to cross over and teach us greater life lessons. They teach us the importance of hard work and learning from our mistakes. They teach us that the impossible can come true. Thats what I consider a great sports movie. Well, either that or it has to be really funny.

Below are my Top 10 sports movies of all time. There are some popular movies missing either because I dont think they are as good as everyone else, or because I havent seen them.

10. Major League - This one falls under the comedy category. Willie Mays Hays, Jake Taylor, Pedro Cerano, Rick Vaughn, and Jake Taylor somehow manage to band together to win the pennant in spite of their owner. Its not the best comedy ever, but its certainly th e best sports comedy ever. Major League 2 is equally as good. Lets pretend that Major League 3 was never made.

9. Remember the Titans The best part about this flick is that it shows how sports can transcend society. The unification of the black and white high school is successful only because of the bonds formed between the two schools on the football field.

8. Rudy How can you not be inspired watching this? No one believed in this kid and he not only got into ND, he made the football team. Most people would have given up long before Rudy, and it is a testament to his character for enduring and being able to live his dream.

7. Miracle I am a huge Miracle on Ice fan so I was a bit skeptical about the movie. Usually they find a way to screw up history. But amazingly, Disney stuck to the story nearly perfectly. By involving everyone from the original team in the making of the movie, including the late Herb Brooks, they made sure the movie was accurate. I love having Al Michaels call the action; it feels like I'm actually watching the real game!

6. He Got Game This film chronicles high school senior Jesus Shuttlesworth, the best college basketball prospect in the country, as he deals with pressures from his father and girlfriend who are trying to influence his decision for their own benefit. Ray Allen is the perfect choice for Shuttlesworth because Allen WAS Shuttlesworth in real life a few years before that. How many actors can make that claim?

5. Eight Men Out The best part of the movie was that they didn't try to dumb it down for Hollywood - they made a point to follow the story as it was told in the book. This meant that it had the feel of a documentary, which is probably why this movie isn't that popular, but true sports fans will appreciate that what they are getting is close to the truth.

4. Field of Dreams - This movie will appeal to sports fans and non sports fans alike. Sports fans will lo ve how they work in Shoeless Joe and other classic greats. Non sports fans will appreciate the fantastic journey that Ray takes to build the field of his dreams. If you build it, he will come is one of the great movie quotes of all time.

3. When We Were Kings I'm too young to remember Ali as a fighter, but this movie truly shows his greatness. Forman is the superior fighter, but Ali uses his wit to defeat Forman in The Rumble in the Jungle, one of the greatest fights ever.

2. Hoosiers If you ever need to get pumped up, watch this movie. Nothing seems impossible after seeing Coach Norman Dale lead his team to the Indiana state championship.

1. The Natural I own the DVD of The Natural and Ive seen it more times than I can remember. Yet, anytime I see it on TV I immediately freeze and watch. It captivates me like few movies do. Roy Hobbs gets that second chance that we all want. He had the talent to be the best pitcher ever, but had it taken away by a mysterious shooter. Years later, he reappears as an outfielder and leads his team to the top of the league with his famous Wonder Boy bat.

Angelina Jolie To Star In New Werewolf Movie "Bitten"

We've learned that A-List actress Angelina Jolie will be starring in a new upcoming werewolf movie for Warner Brothers called Bitten. Jolie will be playing a woman who's bitten by a werewolf, and leaves her pack for a normal human life where she begins a career, and falls in love. She is soon drawn back into the pack however when a rogue band of Werewolves threaten the world she now loves. No word yet on a helmer for the pic, but I'm sure they're going to get someone if not top notch atleast very well known to helm this one. Bitten should hit theaters in 07' or 08'. In the mean time..we'll be sure to keep you guys posted on this one!

This film will make Angelina Jolie's Horror film debut. The actress has taken on many roles ranging from action star (Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider 2:The Cradle Of Life, Mr. and Mrs. Smith), to drama star (Alexander), to thriller star (Taking Lives). It'll be interesting to see how well she does in her first Horror film role. Since she is taking on the starring role in Bitten, this might put a serious cramp in those rumors that surfaced a few months back which had the 30 year old actress returning to play Lara Croft once again in another Tomb Raider film, which would've been the third movie in the video game adaptation film series which kicked off back in 2000 with Lara Croft:Tomb Raider.

By the way, my guess is, in reference to the Brad and Angelina story, that Angelina was making a fancy pasta dish for dinner, ran out of fresh tomato and needed to run to the store really quick. It appeared that she stormed out of the house because both kids begged to go with her so they could buy a candy bar. They were both wining and had been fighting with each other all day long. Angelina was fed up with their behavior and that accounts for the storming out of the house with both kids.

Films Stargate Extended Cut

It's 8000 B.C. An alien ship lands in a desert world and a young boy is curious to find out what's inside. Fast forward to Egypt, 1928 an archeologist's daughter discover an ancient relic and her father uncovers a big surprise, the Stargate. It's now present day and Professor Daniel Jackson, played by James Spader asks the question Who Built the Pyramids? in his university classroom.

The scene now takes you to Colonel Jack O'Neil, played by Kurt Russell. Jack O'Neil is told by his commanding officer that he is reinstated to active duty and been given a special mission to accomplish. Back to Professor Daniel Jackson; he receives a relic and a map from a now older woman of the 1928 archeologist. Professor Jackson examines the map of sorts and tries to translate the symbols on the doorway between worlds, now known as the Stargate.

Professor Jackson has a bad translation of the symbols on the Stargate because he discovers there is a seventh symbol that needs to be translated. Once Professor Jackson translated the seventh symbol, he, Colonel Jack O'Neil and a small, elite military team make their first official walk through the Stargate. As the take a look around the new, desert world, they discovered only sand , so the Professor and Colonel O'Neil and his team decide to camp out for the night. Continuing their journey in the morning, they discover these strange domesticated monsters, which look like a cross between a camel and a mammoth.

The team discover desert people and thanks to Professor Jackson being able to interpret their language, these desert people take the whole team in. The professor translated ancient writings within the village of the desert people reads about the history of the Sun god Ra played by Jaye Davidson. Professor Jackson discovers that the Sun god Ra was actually an alien who possessed the body of a young, curious boy 8000 years ago.

The professor and the military team make a trip furt her within the desert, found an ancient pyramid and went inside. Greeted by unfriendly guards with animal masks on their heads, the guards take the professor and the military team to a throne room where the look upon the Sun god Ra in the flesh, for the first time. With the professor being able to translate Ra's words, Ra brings a military weapon in front of the professor and Colonel O'Neil. The professor realized that the Colonel mission was to destroy the desert planet. While the colonel and his team are taken to a watery prison, Ra talks to the professor and tells him that he will send the military weapon through the Stargate and destroy the earth instead. Unfortunately, Ra had to face the desert people uprising as well as an attack on his pyramid. Ra decides to send the military weapon through the Stargate to earth sooner, however, the professor and the rescued Colonel O'Neil spoils his plans by sending the weapon to his pyramid instead, destroying Ra.

FILM F ACTS: Desert sandstorms were re-created by 10 huge wind machines. Howard Hughes former Spruce Goose airplane hanger was used for one of the film sets. Filming was done in the dunes of Arizona, California, Colorado and New Mexico. 12,000 gallons of water were shipped each day along with 12,000 pounds of ice. The cast along with 1500 extras drank water as well as salt tablets to avoid dehydration from the 120-degree heat.

Movie Review Vera Cruz (1954)

VERA CRUZ -- Two 19th century soldiers of fortune, one survivor of the Civil War with a soft spot for sick horses and social justice (Gary Cooper playing Ben Trane), the other a charming and money-greedy happy-trigger killer (Burt Lancaster at his grinning best, playing Joe Erin), search for their next dollar down in Mexico at a time when the country is torn between Emperor Maxmillian and the nationalist peasant army trying to overthrow him.

Since the Emperor got the most cash, our hired guns agree to serve the Emperor by escorting a certain Countess to the city of Vera Cruz by passing through territory under rebel control. On the way to Vera Cruz, both fighters discover 3 million dollars in gold coins (intended to buy guns for the Emperor from France) hidden at the bottom of the stagecoach carrying the Countess and she is not totally unaware of the fact either. She has her own plans too. All three plot against the other two to scoop the treasure away. Betrayal is no t an issue. It's not even personal. It's just business.

After a few gunfight and ambush scenes between the Maxmillian's escorting army and the peasant rebels, justice reigns and Ben Trane emerges as the noble soul who triumphs over crass materialism despite the soft spot in his heart that Joe Erin took for weakness. He does not live long enough to correct his foolish ways.

This is the movie to see to learn how a bullet can be pulled out of the leading man's (Lancaster) arm by the other leading guy (Cooper) by using nothing more than a cold unsterilized pocket knife, while the wounded patient is leaning against a tree and the whole thing is accomplished within seconds too! As soon as the bullet is out, the patient is on his horse, giving one heck of a chase to the unfortunate perpetrator. They don't make hired guns this tough no more.

Cinematography of Ernest Laszlo is beyond compare. Most of the shots is worthy of a calendar page.

A beautifully shot m ovie in which Ernest Borgnine and a very young Charles Bronson also do their parts.

A 6 out of 10.

NYPD Blue (DVD) Review

Nominated for 84 Emmys and 13 Golden Globes, including 5 for Best TV Series - Drama in its first five years, NYPD Blue is one of the best prime time dramas in television history. It's also one of the most talked about and controversial as well. Prior to its series premiere in Fall 1993, NYPD Blue found itself embroiled in a nationwide controversy surrounding proper TV programming and calls for government censorship. Its opening tagline This police drama contains adult language and scenes with partial nudity. Viewer discretion is advised, caused a quite a stir before the public had even seen the first episode. Family rights groups maligned the ABC network for airing the show, but when NYPD Blue turned out to be a mild show by conventional standards, the massive publicity only served to instantly propel the police drama to the top of the Nielsen ratings, where it lived out 12 successful seasons

NYPD Blue follows the exploits of a New York City Police Department unit as they deal with the high-stress trials and travails indicative of the world's most demanding police work. During the show's 12 seasons, a number of characters transferred in and out of the department, but Det. Andy Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) was the one constant. The brash, steel-gut demeanor of Sipowicz set the tone for the show, and most episodes revolve around Sipowicz and his various partners (whose mild-mannered temperaments help soften his oftentimes brash methods). Det. John Kelley (David Caruso) was the first of these partners, followed by Bobby Simone (Jimmy Smits) The brainchild of Steven Bochco (former writer for Columbo and creator of such hit series as Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law, and Doogie Howser, M.D.), NYPD Blue raised the bar for prime-time police dramas, and along with contemporary peer Law & Order, the show defined the genre during the decade of the 1990s

The NYPD Blue DVD features a number of dramatic episodes including the series premiere in which De t. Sipowicz is brought up before Internal Affairs due to harassing conduct toward Alfonse Giardella. Meanwhile, his wife is pushing to finalize their divorce, but Sipowicz gets shot by Giardella in the process. Now, Det. Kelley must apply pressure to the local mafia to help him catch the perpetrator Other notable episodes from Season 1 include Oscar, Meyer, Weiner in which Sipowicz and Kelley investigate the murder of an entire family of wealthy elites as well as a stolen Academy Award, and Serge the Concierge in which the two detectives find a dead body in a dumpster and trace it back to a conspiracy hatched by a hotel owner and her concierge employee

HOW THE OLD WEST HAS BEEN DEFINED

People refer to the 'Old West' as the 'Wild West' or simply the 'West'.

No matter how what they might call it, many look upon the American Old West as a wild and dangerous place that existed in the last half of the 1800's in the American Frontier, west of the Mississippi River in the United States.

Even Europeans who dislike or fear George W. Bush are quick to call him a cowboy, in a derogatory manner, as if his being from Texas automatically brands him as being like the outlaw cowboys that died at the O.K. Corral on October 26 1881, in Tombstone, Arizona Territory.

Many other people from around the world romanticize the American Old West. They conjure images of cowboys, indians, guns, cattle, buffalo, trains and the simple life when they imagine the world of the Old West.

Television, radio shows, and Movies have all contributed to the romanticism of America's Old West. Television brought us Gunsmoke and Bonanza. Movies have come through time to further emphasize people's romantic ideas of the Old West. Movies that come to mind include Far and Away in 1992, True Grit in 1969, Two Mules for Sister Sara in 1970, Dances With Wolves in 1990, and Tombstone in 1993. And then there were my two favorite westerns of all-time, Support Your Local Sheriff and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid which both came out in 1969.

PEOPLE STILL THINK THE WEST IS ABOUT THE COWBOYS AND INDIANS

Even in today's communication age, some people still believe that Oklahoma and Texas exist as it did in the 1890's. Back in the late 1980's, I had travelled to Florida. While there, someone asked me where I was from. When I said Oklahoma, they had this puzzled look come across their face.

After a moment or two, this individual seemed to have made the connection they were looking for. She asked me, So, how did you get to Florida?

I was confused. I said, Well, I drove.

She responded, Oh, so you stopped along the way and bought a car?

I said, No. I had the car before I left.

I could see a deer in the headlights moment, and then I heard her soon-to-be-famous words, I thought everyone in Oklahoma rode on horses and in wagons. What about the indians? Do you all still have problems with the indians?

True story. No kidding. It is hard to believe, I know. I would not have believed it myself if I had not been there to hear it.

Yes, some people believe that we still live as we did 100 years ago.

GOING WEST

Prior to 1848, the people who lived in the American Old West were primarily the military men and lawmen, mountain men who often worked as trappers and/or traders, the native American population, cattle ranchers and their hands, and farmers.

Then on January 24, 1848, the news of James Marshall's Gold! erupted from Sutter's Mill, California. Suddenly, everyone wanted to go west.

Go West Young Man! was the cry that reverberated around the globe. Thus began one of the largest human migrations in History as a half-mi llion people from around the world descended upon California in search of instant wealth.

THE HISTORICAL STORY OF INDIAN TERRITORY

Indian Territory, also known as I.T., was established in 1830. The intent of the establishment of the Indian Territory was to have a place in which to relocate the Eastern Native American Tribes. In its early days, Indian Territory actually covered most of modern-day Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska.

Indian Territory was not a territory by the legal established definition of a territory for several more decades. In the beginning, there was no government or laws governing Indian Territory. It was simply the place that was set aside to be occupied by the Native American tribes.

In 1854, the American government decided that they needed to increase the lands that could be used by their g rowing population. So, at this juncture, they reduced the overall size of Indian Territory to cover most of what is now Oklahoma.

During the Civil War, the Five Civilized Tribes who owned most of the land comprising Indian Territory, gambled their lot on the southern Confederate States. When the South lost, the Five Civilized Tribes lost more of their lands under the new treaties that had to be negotiated with the victors in Washington, D.C.

Beginning with the Osage Reservation Act of 1872, the federal government began to treat Indian Territory more as a legally defined territory.

In 1889, the federal government finally established a federal court for the management of the Indian Territories. And then on April 22nd 1889, the Unassigned Lands of central Oklahoma were opened to white settlement. 50,000 people, who were called Boomers, settled the Unassigned Lands that day.

Then in May of 1990, Indian Territory was divided into Oklahoma Terr itory and Indian Territory. Over the next several years, various land runs permitted the various sections of Oklahoma Territory to be settled.

THE CHEROKEE OUTLET LAND RUN OF 1893

The famous opening of the Cherokee Outlet that was the backset for the movie Far and Away, took place on September 16, 1893.

When the Cherokee Outlet was opened, there were 7 original counties: O, L, K, P, Q, M and N. It was mandated by law that the settlers of each county would select the new county name after the run. The names selected were Garfield, Grant, Kay, Noble, Pawnee, Woods and Woodward.

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE 101 RANCH IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA

Originally bound for California, Colonel George W. Miller found himself often sidetracked into various business ventures on his trek west.

In 1893, Colonel Miller founded his 101 Ranch in northcentral Oklahoma near present day Marland, Oklahoma, south and west of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Colonel Miller became good friends with Chief White Eagle, the chief of the Ponca Nation. The Ponca Nation is situated to the south of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and just east of the 101 Ranch site.

In 1903, Col. George Miller died and the ranch was taken over by his three sons.

At its height, the 101 Ranch which was located in Kay and Noble counties in the Oklahoma Territory was comprised of a full 110,000 acres. It became the real nexus between the American Old West and the world-famous 101 Wild West Show, which featured cowboys and indians in the flesh and show dates around the world from 1905 to 1931. Even the shows at the ranch were noted to have attracted more than 65,000 spectators at various times.

HOLLYWOOD MEETS THE WILD WEST

Among the many notable accomplishments attributed to the Miller's and their 101 Ranch Wild West Show, was their role in the revitalization of the western genre in Hollywood.

The first movie ever made of the western genre was The Great Train Robbery in 1903. By the end of the decade, most believed that the western was dead.

In 1911, the Miller's signed a contract with the New York Motion Picture Company and its' subsidiary studio, the Bison Company.

The 101 Ranch served as the backdrop for several Hollywood films, and the stars of the 101 Wild West Show staffed hundreds of early westerns. More than 100 cowboys, cowgirls and indians from the 101 Ranch Wild West Show participated in various Bison Company westerns.

Even the great Will Rogers did a short stint with the 101 Wild West Show, before moving to Hollywood to become world-famous. Will Rogers is just one of the many famous names that came through the 101 show on their rise to stardom. Many of the names of 101 performers became so famous in their day that you may even recogn ize them today: Bill Pickett, Tom Mix and many others.

Another Bullet in the Cake?

Another bullet in the cake? No, this time I eat the cake. I finally saw Hate Rock the long awaited - actually 23 hours download - documentary about us. The presentation of the documentary seems much harder than what the video says in reality. Before watching this video I asked for impressions to people who saw it on the cable in the US and all their comments have been very negative. I was caught days ago while answering to some questions on the phone. I classified this documentary as antifascist propaganda, because this is what it seems reading the introduction on the websites (SMG productions and Discovery Times) and this is how people described the show to me. I have to say instead, after watching the work, that it is a documentary and not the ultimate show about the absolute evil.

Length limitation (about 1 hour) and lack of time make also the best of the videos a marginal work. You must have asked yourselves: what to include and what to exclude? Ho w to delineate the whole documentary? So, this is the section in which I will list (I will exceed!) your made 30s, why not 31?, all good advices for someone who'll try to write a book - maybe - about hate rock in future, and I guess many of the things I will write down here were maybe consciously excluded, not just forgotten.

I have seen you pointed your attention to our more or less extreme faces, the interface, so how music is spread, how concerts are organized, what different images we use, the persecution we get and so on...it's a very good video, but I think sometimes it is too aesthetic, it often proposes some songs with impact lyrics but does not get into their deep meaning, imaging people outside already know about our beliefs (only in Detroit instead you captured a good deal of explanations about some aspects of white power music or when you talked about the 14 words) and sometimes it escapes too much towards descriptions of political organizations forgetting it is a documentary about music and it confines the white power movement into the racist thing too much.

Question number one: what is a racist? And on a higher level: what is a nationalist?

It would have been interesting to know how a song is born, in what situation. From the documentary we seem to want ethnic cleaning mostly or only and above all... and you sent my song Don't go round with the Jews, for instance (I'll take myself as example, because I know myself), which is not a song about that topic, but about the problem of social integration. You chose from my interview my declaration I say I'm not a nazi, I'm a fascist, I must defend my italian history... I must comment, with or without that sentence my position doesn't change: I'm a so-called white power songwriter anyway, so the statement - extracted from a long discussion - is redundant in this context.

You talked a lot about persecution against our music, absolutely daily life. I think you fully d escribed what happens to our bands and organizers. Shawn made very clear arguments about it and Erich of Resistance added that music sales help the activities, but what's missing between these parts? It's quite clear that people like the Big Jews or the Communists persecute us (Death to ZOG! People shouted.), but no one clearly expressed some opinions about the reasons. Hegemony for example? What does it mean? What could the interests be? (I'm aware it's impossible to talk largely about it in such a video without falling out of the circle of the topic, but maybe a little idea could be given) I think the most important reason is implicit, but at the same time fragmented, in your documentary: this kind of music is engine for activities!

Really there are harder crimes than loving your own folk in this world, but they are not persecuted. Is recruitment a possible reason for this persecution? You talked a lot about it, but you did not say it is - surely it is - a reason why we are persecuted, or better, there are opposite forces pulling people from other sides into their own gardens. Very good...In total simplicity you expressed so well the moment before the concert in Verona (also in Britain showing true rehearsal). It's direct, it's clear... I'll write more about it later in the editing section. Another good note about the concert in Germany (it was like you were there ready to be arrested together with the skins!).

I saw you noticed how internet increased the sales and the spreading of our music... this is real. Anyway, you didn't investigate about how our music is technically and artistically produced. (You must have seen that artistic production is almost completely missing in this scene!) You showed a recording studio... but what about other solutions, live recordings and...distance recordings? You also talked too little about executive production: if you look carefully you'll find deep gaps among labels! You touched the MTV topic, but which are the requisites for being on MTV? And do we want to be there or are we avoiding? (I personally was on the charts for most downloaded songs on mTv.it...eheh! I'm terrible!) Or did you ask yourself: in terms of numbers does the white power movement produce and prefer more musically skilled bands or lyrically oriented bands? Which is the balance among these two aspects? (Erich just mentioned something about it) Is there any kind of attempt/effort for an industrial product? Prussian Blue have an organization behind, they aggressed the media, they have a Tv crew supporting them, a network of advancers...you talked about them, but did not notice t his! And how would a music industry based on political groups make difference from current mainstream industries if it takes off? What consequences does it take? You talked about bands, some in political groups, others external, but which are the differences between a band in politics and a band which is not? Is music more transversal when outside the party? What about the fans? How much do they spend? How do top seller products change according to age, country, income...of buyers? What about peer-to-peer and how does it damage our scene? How do fans interact and cultivate their interest (forums, mp3-video-photo uploads, blogs and original websites...)? The Turner Diaries: cutting that part there was place for all these aspects or for another band... I would have chosen Kolovrat or some other band from Eastern Europe.

I appreciated the fact - and now I'll be killed for this - that you didn't mention Ian Stuart so much, but your analysis of hate rock has been contempora ry.

I liked a lot the line you followed, visiting the concerts and their backstages as self-talking environments.

What's really missing? I'm not the only one who states this: I think you didn't focus at all on the metal scene, such as Burzum (whose cds are sold at your local Virgin Megastore!), or neofolk (I'm considered neofolk, but I'm not one of the exemplary artists who play this genre). You didn't talk about the pagan and christian subcurrents and their struggles (oh, so wrong to have religion and politics together... but this happens!). And what else... you didn't see there are some professionists who make this music and who are trying their way outside the movement. (I won't nominate, because I'm not sure I am allowed) I'm sorry to say this final thing, because your work really deserves many honours, but this documentary is still a flouring of white power music. I'm very critic about this, yes, like a spinster teacher, because the attempt was really promis ing and mature this time! So, sincere congratulations!

My experience on the set and the comments of the old aunts... I have to award the professionality of those who worked on this documentary, obviously in particular those 3 nice guys I mentioned on Gloucester Road (I don't know the others...). It was not my first time on Tv and on press in general. Apart from right-wing press stuff, my relationship with the out-of-the-ghetto press has always been quite stormy... do you remember, folks, for example, my pics with the bottle or when (on Italian satellite Tv) a prestigious reporter aggressed me and cut my hair? I have to say this time I was treated li ke a princess. I spoke, answered to questions, I was not aggressed, never interrupted and I have eaten and drunk.

I was shown on the screen like a normal girl with a guitar during a possible ordinary moment of my life - ok, Magnus and Katana are still laughing on the floor saying I walk like a duck. Also all the other people in the video are men and women. I received some complaints via email about what I didn't say in the video... you have to know, sometimes I speak too much and I had promised my close mates of Ashtree things about defence topics and scientific reseach and paganism, because these are important themes in our struggle here at Ashtree Records.

You didn't choose anything of this and ok, it's your choice. To those who say I'm shown for a too short time on this documentary I reply: I have always tried to fill my music with hidden messages and now I appear on this video as a subliminal message, so I don't see the problem!

Audience

Some peop le said your documentary is too British. Well, in my opinion since you are British and the documentary was first produced for Five and then distributed overseas, I think you might have some British audience. I would like to write down some personal observations and I would like to propose some new hint for reflection and curiosity.

Before investing money on any television production, you must have an idea about the audience to which your product is addressed. It's hard - believe - it's hard to find a man who's got no interest or simply never heard of hate rock, who sits down in front of the Tv and watches a show like this. It's not ignorance... it's a situation like going back home, tired from work and just relax with something pleasant which depends on tastes. You know, television is still not programmed by audience (even digital terrestrial, which is sold like power in the hands of the spectators!) anyway the man, who's God with the Remote Control, could choose a documentary about lions rather than sieg heil sieg heil...

You talked about arising hate rock. Do you think hate rock is arising alone or is it accompanied by the number of people who are interested in watching your documentary on Tv? (Remember, we sell cds because there are fond listeners) I'll try to be clearer. I have the curiosity to know, whether you considered to produce this video because there are a lot of people who would like to know more about the topic. Somebody shouted another jewish thing!... no, I think, instead, as Orwell's Big Brother teaches, the unwanted truth is hidden! You DO show hate rock, so I see no jewish conspiracy.

Mac Intyre

Donal, what kind of name is that? Anyway, I thought MacIntyre was much worst, according to what my nice cooperator from our Press Room Neil Rush said: George Clooney on holiday. Oh, God, I thought, What is it? I'm watching from far away Italy. The times I was in Britain I never had the opportunity to see this man in action on Tv, so this is my first time. I read his name and I searched on internet. His photos on his website don't make good impression of him as professional figure... I'm not becoming a bigot...

I would like to focus again on the introduction written for this documentary. As I said above it seems a factious introduction, referring to words like disturbing rise of the racist and anti-semitic music industry. It's true, I should not connect the man with the words reported above, but - this is an advice - pay attention, Mac, because you may fall into the well known Tv trap of kindness, a disease attacking media... nobody's safe!

The history of times has taught: good-looking = kind. Anyway, Mac, I know you too little to go on discussing this. I found the location where you spoke adeguate. It was very hip hop style and in a certain way opposed to white power and since you are an external viewer (I'm not saying you're hip hop or black) the thing unconsciously matched somehow.

I'm sure, I bet 50 pounds, you didn't think about this, but the location was chosen because it was more streetlife and more bad macintyre.

Video & Sound Editing

I cannot say much about filming, because I haven't got the requisites to talk about it, but I can say something about the editing, since it is a bit my cup of tea. There's not much to say in reality. It's a professional work and done by masters. I'm a little (some one would rather say short) beginner - even though somebody has the courage to pay me for editing stuff - but I think I should examine.

I already talked about it, but I should add in this section that the times used to describe the different moments of the Verona event are as precise as a clock. Sometimes too much tourism (indispensable, I don't deny!) cutting time for significative information. A tourism like the one in Detroit with explanations of places and local fauna is the good solution.

Sometimes maybe too long zoom in, zoom out on still images and...I don't remember, I maybe took note about some too slow transition... but those are choices and strategic fill holes and pauses, change of rhythm... The futuristic images + music leading to title Hate Rock after the introductive speech are like putting Madonna's American Life as soundtrack for a documentary about nuns. I don't know if this intro is stylistically in common with other documentaries from your series, but really here it is a punch in an eye. I think the introductive speech was enough, since it was a sort of well done summary, it could lead to title Hate Rock perfectly.

The last 20 minutes of the show are much slower than the first part. Is it my impression? Too long uncut videos, less movement... in my opinion, after about 40 minutes play, such a video should get a faster rhythm because it's like the audience - I don't want to say it falls asleep - is eating 300g of pasta and after all this food you may get enough of it.

Sometimes different speeches of a same person taken in different places, with too different noise backgrounds, are attached like a continuous speech but the contrast is too evident. You should have overlapped or attached more carefully or tried to show the video (even half a second, don't need much) from which the envi ronmental noise is taken. You may wonder You, right you are telling me this...have you ever seen your own stuff? Yes, I have and I don't want to remember.

Futurama (Season 4) DVD Review

A brainchild of Simpsons creator Matt Groening, Futurama launched itself into homes across the galaxy in Spring 1999. Employing the same quick wit and visual humor that has made The Simpsons one of the most successful shows in television history, Futurama (despite its early cancellation in August 2003) maintains its own loyal cult following

Set one thousand years in the future, Futurama follows the life of a modern day American pizza delivery boy named Fry who finds himself reanimated 1,000 years after being accidentally cryogenically frozen. Brought back to life, Fry hunts down his great, great, great nephew - a tinkering scientist named Professor Farnsworth - and spends his days working for his distant relative's intergalactic delivery service alongside good friends, Leela (a female Cyclops) and Bender (a morally-challenged robot). As the characters (usually Fry and Bender) engage in various schemes throughout the universe, Professor Farnsworth and his crew meet up with a number of interesting characters and civilizations

The Futurama (Season 4) DVD offers a number of hilarious episodes including the first episode of this Volume 4 DVD 30% Iron Chef in which Bender's dream of becoming a famous chef is dashed when his hero, Elzar, rejects his cooking. Queer Eye for the Bible Guy

I understand that Saturday afternoon is the equivalent of Chernobyl for Television and cable stations. Just after the last Saturday morning cartoon finishes and before the game there is absolutely nothing on. So I can understand how something like Bibleman oozed its way onto the air. What I didnt know was that Bibleman has been around for at least ten years. And to be honest with you, I could of slept better at night if I had remained oblivious to this fact.

I dont care if there are shows out there preaching to people. I dont have anything against Religion. You have the right to say what youre going to say, and I have the right to turn that channel faster than Stella flopped. Just dont tell Comedy Central about that last part. They still cling to the idea that Michael Ian Black is funny. We will also ignore the fact that the people behind Bibleman and their fans would possibly have the FCC and conservative Republicans crush our secular programming than flip the chann el themselves. In the case of Bibleman though, I dont think these people should be let off the hook.

I wouldnt mind the show if it had some balls. You know, make Bibleman a raging alcoholic with a dingy office next to a strip club, and have episodes with him going into hell every so often to slap Hitler and Stalin around with his penis. Instead youve got some old guy running around in a suit that looked like it was inspired by an acid induced viewing of Robocop. Instead of saying things like Im going to rip your heart out and eat it for Jesus, you get lines like Bibleman is victim of a plot to make him disobey God! And while that line may make George Bush Jr. clap his hands in delight, it makes the rest of us wretch.

Even the villains, the sign of a great superhero show, are as bad as the poorly written, self-important hate mail I sometimes get. Instead of Satan, complete with thirty heads and a Boston Red Sox cap, we have this guy who looks like a gay version of the Borg from Star Trek. How do we know hes gay? Because of his mannerisms, his constant attempts to give fashion advice to Bibleman, and a quick cut to Bibleman in bondage having something awkward done to him during an episode with this character. Not to mention on the Bibleman website all of his villains are described as flamboyant. What kind of message are we being sent from this show? That muscular men in purple suits can beat up gay people in homoerotic encounters because the Bible says he can?

The theme song is on par with a high pitch squeal on repeat for eternity. And we know how enjoyable that is. Not only does the theme song suck, but also Bibleman again pumps the Star Trek well by ripping off the transporters. He even goes the extra mile and rips off George Lucass light saber for his weapon. The creators of the show were smart enough to not use the Star Wars sound effect. But they might as well use it at this rate. Do you really think George Lucas is going to pick a fight with Jesus Christ in the media?

Not only is Bibleman a homophobe, hes also an out and out racist. His partner Cipher is black, and every time Cipher says something Bibleman blows him off or just repeats what Cipher just said as his own idea. This doesnt add to the comedy of the show. It is another example of a white man ripping off a black mans good ideas. And to make matters worse, Bibleman went out and found a Latino girl to be Bible girl. Who, you guessed it, acts like a stereotypical Latino woman. Dont you love how loving and accepting the producers of this show are?

The rampant product placement in this show is outrageous. Almost every scene somehow manages to include a shot of Biblemans own bible, which you can probably purchase if you look hard enough. Where does the money go for this bible? Not to a charity for blind orphans! Not to animal shelters for Dalmatians after the Disney craze ended! I wish the producers of this show would create a fund for people who accidentally watched episodes of Bibleman and had a stroke.

This whole show smacks of low profile and low cost management. Do you know who Bibleman is? No! Of course not. Because you have s former cocaine addict, Willie Aames as Bibleman. Some of you might know Mr. Aames as Buddy from Charles in Charge. And what did Aames do after his fifteen minutes were up beating up gay people, doing blow, and preaching about Jesus in this show? He went on VH1s Celebrity Fit Club. The producers could have gone for a star, or at least someone who seriously believed the stuff they were spewing on the show. Instead they gave us Buddy. I wonder what Charles thinks about all this?

The bottom line here is that a show that promotes racism, intolerance, includes product placement for something that is supposed to be free (the Bible), and sucks harder than a late night meal at Dennys. It is a total disservice to the Religion, and I even argue the show makes Jerry Falwell appealing. Nothing this bad should be allowed on Television.

The Great Hitchcock

Psycho and Rear Window are the two most widely known films that Alfred Joseph Hitchcock produced. He uses a wide range of different techniques that his movies are so popular for. In the Rare Window the Point of View Shot technique was used. Hitchcock shows the whole scenario through the eyes of one particular character. The other technique Hitchcock used was Pan shot one. The camera scans the panorama, and then it zooms in to one place and shows us the view from that position.

In the opening sequence of the movie Hitchcock uses the camera's subjective eye by panning over the city. The camera moves across the city and focuses more in on the buildings. Then it hesitates, giving the audience a chance to decided which window they would like to look through. Then the camera starts to zoom in and makes the decision for them. This interesting camera view builds up to introducing the character of Marion. In the room Marion is with a man named Sam, Marion makes a proposal and he rejects it, during this time the camera movement shows the intensity and emotions going on with the rejection and the sexual act that was insinuated. The first half of the opening sequence symbolizes the film's progress as a whole.

There were a variety of scenes in the movie that made it very frightening. In the famous shower scene Hitchcock used symbolism for certain objects. He used the showers curtain in a way to portray the viewer's private world. Then it shows the shot of the showerhead intending to show the cleansing of Marion, it then signifies that the intruder has entered making the viewer an involuntary part in her slaughter. The shower scene is frightening mainly due to the high-pitched sounds of violin's creating a screeching sound that is supposed touch the fear in our hearts. There are also the scenes of the house by the motel that Norman lived in; the house was viewed as dark, gloomy, and creepy looking using a long-distance shot, that showed the who le house. Another interesting scene is when Norman is cleaning up after the murder of Marion. The way the view is shot it makes it look like the audience's hands cleaning up the blood.

When it comes to the characters of this film Hitchcock introduces the concept of continuity between normal and abnormal. Marion's character is established as a sense of normality, but when it comes about to Norman it turns to abnormality. Using a clever dialogue and different camera movements Hitchcock subtlety showed the audience the shift of sympathies from Marion to Norman. This can be best explained the first time they meet. When it shows Marion's reflection in the mirror it moves into the subtle emergence of Norman, its almost as though he were a part of or comparable to Marion. At first the perception of Norman is that he is seen as a likeable man. The audience pity's his situation of devotion and self-sacrifice for his mother. But then things change after the shower scene then the many other murders that follow. Norman is then viewed as an abnormal man.

Will LOST Ever Be Found?

The rumors of its demise sadly over-calculated, LOST has settled into ratings numbers that secures it in the company of the best dramas on television. Had LOST managed to hold onto the 23million-plus it had in the beginning of its second series, I doubt ABC would be able to afford to produce it at this point. Any clue on what Matt Fox might demand for his LOST paycheck knowing the largest television audience in history was tuning in?

The fact of the matter is, LOST set records: Most Emmy nominations for a new series, and wins to boot; Most viewers for second season premiere; and, of course, one of the best cliff hangers in television history What is in the hatch?

Aside from all of this, the show has literally reinvented the internet fan community on such a scale that some sites, TheTailsection and LostPedia, found themselves featured players in the Alternate Reality Game The Lost Experience that was released to ease the game between season two and three.

The fact that the doomsayers have started to come out of the journalistic woodwork with tails of faltering numbers and disenchanted fans is nothing short of proof that malcontentism is alive and well.

With its incongruity of surreptitious plot twists and startling, sometimes jarring, changes of locale, the show has shown no sign of slowing down from its unique approach of leave continuity behind writing, which for this author is perfectly okay. Id love nothing more than to see LOST evade resolution for another ten seasons, if they could do it effectively, but, alas, that is not the goal of the men and women behind LOST; they claim to have planned a beginning, middle, and end, that will span four-to-five seasons at best. With that assurance, the criticism that LOST is a train with no rail is nonsense. Despite bold attempts to explain LOST (Lost for newbies for instance.), however, that end seems no-more closer than it did two weeks ago when we all watched a prone man, bloodied and disoriented, open a green eye onto an island of mystery for the first time.

The Shawshank Redemption a Stephen King Movie

The Shawshank Redemption is consistently voted as one of the best Movies of all time. Originally a story in a Stephen King book, the Different Seasons, known as Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, the story was adapted and the Movie created. The Movie was directed and the screenplay written by Frank Darabont. The Movie was his first major production. Interestingly Stephen King has written two stories about Prisons, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, which happen to be the first two Movies that Frank Darabont directed.

The story is a cruel one, in which Andy Dufresne, an educated and kind man is wrongly convicted of his wifes murder. During his time in Prison he befriends several people, who are criminals, whereas Andy is not. His life is changed forever, as he deals with the troubles of incarceration.

Stephen Kings excellent character portrayal is not limited to his horror stories, and the characters in this story are some of his best. One could even believe this was based on a true story, but it is not, King has confirmed. The story is upsetting, puzzling and warming, and the Movies popularity confirms people association with the story. I think it will always be a classic.

When released at the theatre The Shawshank Redemption did not achieve great success, despite the great buzz already generated by the Hollywood industry due to the great story. This was in part due to great competition at the time, and also the fact that the story is about a Prison, which put many Movie goers off. However, after the release to DVD the Shawshank Redemption sold in huge quantities maKing it a firm favorite.

The Club which has yet to make it to the big screen

I would recommend the book to anyone who is a fan, as it is a great collection of stories. The Shawshank Redemption is a very popular story, whether read in a book or watched as a film.

Original Movie Plot Bounty Hunting Hearts

(An original rom-com action Movie plot by Creative CopyWriter Ugur Akinci.)

Rock and Cindy are two bounty hunters, the best in their profession. Once they were married but they divorced after a terrible fight which both regretted later on.

The two have made a lot of money together in the years past by catching bail jumpers all over the USA, Canada and Mexico, and both still carry the scars to prove it.

Now Rock is pushing sixty and he wants to retire after this one very big job -- nabbing Scorpion, a nasty drug pin out there on a $100 mil bond and he just disappeared into the void.

Rock needs people he can rely on to pull off this big job. And just then Cindy (still ravishing and strong in her 40s) visits him with her fiance Maleek, a South Asian guy who owns an ink-cartridge refill business and warehouse in Carolina. Maleek has no idea what Cindy was doing before he met her at a Texas beach six months ago.

The reason Cindy visits Rock is to s ettle the custody battle over their 10 year old son Austin, who is at the time living with his grandma. But when she sees Rock, Cindy's old hunting instincts flare up again, and she is flooded with all the memories of fast romatic times they had together when they were young, beautiful and growing a business together.

Cindy wants to send Maleek back and help Rock on his last mission impossible but Maleek, believing that Cindy will just see an old business partner to settle a dispute, insists coming with them. Time is ticking and they have to hit the road to chase down the Scorpion. So Rock yields and they take Maleek along who has no idea what is in store for him.

At the first motel they stop, Scorpion's gang is already waiting for them. They get out of that one alive thanks to Maleek's street smarts and his impersonation of an Indian raja visiting America to blow off some money on gambling and girls.

They press on, tracking Scorpion down to Boca Raton, Flo rida. But at their second stop a different sort of trouble awaits them -- Austin is waiting for them with his suitcase in hand, to spend his summer vacation with his parents. Rock's mother sent Austin away for some quality time with his dad, and quality time indeed is what they'll all have while chasing Scorpion through the swamps and beaches of Florida...

Last sequence -- Rock and Cindy once again realize that they were really created for one another but time has passed and they can't pretend that what had happened did not happen. And then there is Maleek now, a very nice guy to whom Cindy owes a thing or two. So they decide to part -- this time as friends -- and not listen to their heartache.

Rock stares long and hard after Cindy and Maleek after they pull into the highway and disappear towards the sunset.

Austin is still with Rock. Rock puts his hand affectionately on his son's shoulder and they start walking towards the IHOP on the other side of the hig hway to eat a good dinner. Strawberry pancakes? At this hour?

While walking to the restaurant Rock is telling Austin how he is now ready to retire and he has what it takes to send him even to a good private school if Austin wants to.

Just then... Rock's cell phone comes alive.

He takes the call, listens for a while as his face drops in disappointment. He is debating himself. Two hundred grand? Are you serious?

We can tell he just got another big job offer and he can't turn it down just because he says he is retired. He slips the phone into his pocket, they make a U-turn and start walking towards Rock's Toyota Tundra.

As the truck pulls like a rocket into the traffic, we hear Rock's off-screen question to Austin:

There is another IHOP about 90 miles up the road. Is that okay?
